During the construction of the wind farm the following major works will be undertaken on and off the site:
- Construction of on-site access tracks to facilitate the wind farm development
- Provision of a temporary site compound with associated facilities for the duration of the construction
- Trenching and cabling works to connect the turbines to the on-site electricity sub-station
- Off-site trenching and cabling works to connect the wind farm to the National Grid
- Improvements to the junction of the A3123 and the unclassified road that provides access to the site from the north, situated immediately to the west of the B3230
- Local road improvements along this unclassified road, between the junction of the A3123 and the northern edge of the wind farm site, to facilitate access for the turbines.
Western Power Distribution is managing the off-site cabling and trenching work to connect the wind farm to the Grid.
Areas affected by the construction of access tracks and the contractors' compound will be reinstated afterwards as required by the planning legal agreement.
